Answer: There is no doubt that this is an innovation for which Allah has sent down no authority; for this has not been narrated from the Messenger of Allah ﷺ on the authority of his Companions (subhanahu wa ta'ala) All good lies in following them and walking their path, as He, Glory be to Him, said: said the Prophet ﷺ: Whoever introduces into this matter of ours that which is not part of it, it is rejected. And in another wording, he ﷺ said: Whoever does a deed that our affair (i.e., our religion) is not upon, it is rejected. said ﷺ: and the worst of matters are the newly invented ones, and every bid'ah is misguidance Muslim reported it in his Sahih from the hadith of Jabir (subhanahu wa ta'ala)and may Allah send salah upon our Prophet Muhammad and upon his family and companions, and grant him peace[1].
وَٱلسَّٰبِقُونَ ٱلۡأَوَّلُونَ مِنَ ٱلۡمُهَٰجِرِينَ وَٱلۡأَنصَارِ وَٱلَّذِينَ ٱتَّبَعُوهُم بِإِحۡسَٰنٖ رَّضِيَ ٱللَّهُ عَنۡهُمۡ وَرَضُواْ عَنۡهُ وَأَعَدَّ لَهُمۡ جَنَّٰتٖ تَجۡرِي تَحۡتَهَا ٱلۡأَنۡهَٰرُ خَٰلِدِينَ فِيهَآ أَبَدٗاۚ ذَٰلِكَ ٱلۡفَوۡزُ ٱلۡعَظِيمُ
And the first to embrace Islam of the Muhajirun (those who migrated from Makkah to Al-Madinah) and the Ansar (the citizens of Al-Madinah who helped and gave aid to the Muhajirun) and also those who followed them exactly (in Faith). Allah is well-pleased with them as they are well-pleased with Him. He has prepared for them Gardens under which rivers flow (Paradise), to dwell therein forever. That is the supreme success.
